Is that the Moldbug guy, from back in the early internet times? His 200,000 word essays always boiled down to "Only smart people should be allowed to participate in decision-making processes. (And of course I am very smart.)"

Heh. I ran into a similar flavor in US society. I've for the most part been healthy, most major surgery was having my wisdom teeth pulled, no cavities, strong, willing, able, creative, intelligent and US society that supposedly cared so much about these things abandoned me and left me to die. Because what really matters is money and power over armies of inferiors.

I guess my observation is, if I have one, is that this is yet another flavor of USian mediocrity pitched by inferiors.
